2009 Hydrophone Mounts
Objective/Problems ยท Requirements: 4 SQ26-11 hydrophones need to be attached to the AUV in positions specified by the electrical team. The front 2 hydrophones will be facing forwards and the rear hydrophones will be facing down. Ideally the horizontal distance between the hydrophones should be maximized.
OBJECTIVE: To design a mount to interface the hydrophones to the 8020 beams on the bearacuda platform.
SOLUTION: An existing mount (Mcmaster 8871T35 or 8871T36) will attach to a plate which will then attach to the 8020 beams in the desired locations. If the angle of the hydrophones needs to be changed, the plate can be bent to the desired angle.
